Smartraveller

Smartraveller is the Australian Government’s travel advisory and consular assistance service, and is operated by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade – in a nutshell, they give accurate travel, cultural and health advice.

Part of their challenge has been to inform and prepare travellers about the countries they are travelling to BEFORE they go overseas. This includes understanding things like; local laws and customs, health risks, dangers and annoyances, and travel warnings.

Using worst-case scenarios, surprising facts, and humorous quizzes, Australians are forced to rethink their attitude and behaviour to overseas travel.
